Merrie Mill Farm & Vineyard

Merrie Mill Farm & Vineyard is more than just a vineyard—it’s a place where history, community, and passion come together to create a truly unique experience. Originally built in 1857, the property has a rich heritage as a gathering place for the community, thanks to its former owner, John Armstrong “Archie” Chaloner. In the 1920s, Chaloner opened his home to host dances, movies, and the region’s first public pool. Today, that legacy of connection and celebration lives on under the care of the Pelly family.

In 2018, Guy and Elizabeth Pelly moved from the UK to Merrie Mill Farm with a dream of creating something special. Their hard work bore fruit with their first vintage in 2021, marking the beginning of a thriving winery.

Designed to feel like home, the space features eclectic antique furnishings, personal artwork, and vintage taxidermy—creating an atmosphere that must be seen to be believed. It’s a place to sip wine, share laughter, and make memories, whether you’re enjoying a quiet afternoon or celebrating a special occasion.
